Kitten Styliste

How surprised was I when I stumbled upon this United Bamboo preview for Spring 2010. A calender of cats in replicas! I know how difficult it is to dress a cat up, I can only imagine how long this took to shoot! Im pretty sure I came up with this idea a few years ago but I wont give UB a hard time.

Celine vs. Clara = bodysuit showdown

I love what Phoebe Philo did for Celine SS 2010 with the nude and black applets, I may have a project in the works to re create a version a bit more in my price range. Sadly it will have to involve an aa bodysuit, unless someone can suggest where to find something else. Perhaps dancewear? but it doesn't usually come in nude ( talking aloud to the computer, sorry)
I may be up for alternating colours: black with fuchsia shoulders, teal, etc. I will keep everyone posted on my progress, because I know my devoted fans will not be able to sleep until this project comes into fruition.

THE ROOM

Last night I had a religious experience! I went to check out the newly renovated- former St. Regis room at the Bay now titled The Room. Back in the day when my much missed snazzy grandmother use to come into the city to buy a fabulous cocktail dress she would go "The Room." The new room is 23, 000 sq ft , designed by master designer Yabu Pushelbelgto. I felt transformed in this new space, white, bright, airy, and filled to the brim with wonderful designer labels: Balmin (off the shoulder blue sequin mini (you know what I am talking about) , Halson, Erdem, Pink Tartan, vintage pieces, and so so so much more. I fell madly in love with many items but one pair of Pierre Hardy black lace up chunky heels to be specific. I don't know how and I don't know when but I think I need to own these shoes!!

Here is a very small round up of what I consider to be some of the most beautiful Vogue covers. This of course is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm not crazy about the first one, I just wanted to show you how freaky Twiggy looks!!

Vintage Pucci

I was lucky enough to have grow up with 3 amazingly chic, fabulously stylish grandmothers. Words cannot describe there amazing style!

Over the past 5 years or so I have inherited some amazing vintage pieces. My grandma Peggy use to live in my parents house with us and I thought I had grabbed all the fabulous pieces ( furs, hats, shoes, silk scarfs, costume jewelery, etc). Well, last Saturday I hit the JACKPOT. I found in the depths of a damp basement in a box that has probably not been opened in 17 years a Emilio Pucci original circa 1960-1970. I DIE! I found a slew of other things but Pucci gets its own post.

I wish I drew these....

Tennis Anyone?

Lately, I have been obsessing over vintage sportswear, mainly tennis. Sports attire like everything else in fashion has changed drastically over the past 100 years. Considering people use to play in wool and long skirts and now skorts and underwear like shorts. My preference is sports wear from the 1940s to 1970s.

Love for Pamela Love

Pamela Love is a jewelery designer based out of NYC. Her pieces have a macabre/folky quality to them (If they can be both ?). I am aware that she has been out for quite sometime but I always find myself creeping her website or popping into J+O to look at her lovely pieces. Maybe one day I will spend more then $20 on a piece of jewelry, when that day comes I will invest.

dreamy picnic

Daydreaming about picnics in the park led me to this movie from Australia called Picnic at Hanging Rock which I have never seen or heard of. Would any of you lovely ladies like to re create this with me sometime this summer, minus the disappearance?
