PLAID MAGAZINE

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of styling a shoot for a new online magazine called Plaid Magazine . Here are some behind the scenes photos from the day. The concept was Neutrals and Neons, a huge trend for Spring. Make sure to check out the shoot called bright lights, big city.

Happy Lady

Wow, have you ever seen anyone look so beautiful!! I'm not into copper tops but I might have to make an exception with Christina "I wish I had asked her for her measurements when I was stalking her at the AGO a few months ago" Hendricks.

I will be picking up the March issue of New York magazine.

LEE MCQUEEN

Needless to say, I'm still very shocked about the suicide of Alexander McQueen. I'm not going to go on about how prolific his work was because everybody knows what a genius he was. Lets just enjoy some of his past runway shows from the past few seasons. I was going to round up a bunch of photos but I think this designers work is beyond that and to truly understand his art and what he stood for you have to watch it. When asked what runway show I would like to attend I always said Alexander McQueen, it breaks my heart to know that will never happen.

STYLE ICON MERYL STREEP
IN 1979 SHE ILLUMINATED THE SCREEN IN TWO FILMS, KRAMER VS. KRAMER AND MANHATTAN. I'M GOING TO DO A SHOOT ONE DAY AS A HOMAGE TO THIS WOMEN'S LATE 70'S STYLE. ITS SORT OF A MORE FEMININE APPROACH TO DIANE KEATON'S STYLE IN ANNIE HALL, BUT LESS MENSWEAR AND MORE BURBERRY!

Smarvlous!

Last night I went to see Funny Face at the Revue. It was a sheer delight to see an Audrey Hepburn musical on the big screen! I felt transformed into a different time. I'm going to try and see as many old movies that I love on the silver screen as often as I can.
One of my favourite quotes from the movie: Dick Avery played by Fred Astaire is trying to convince Audrey's character Joe to come to Paris and model.... sounds good to me!
"You'd go to a party every night, drink champagne, swim in perfume, and a new love affair every hour on the hour."
